About Major
Hi! I’m Clare, the proud baker behind this delicious, one-person bakery producing small-batch handmade treats in West Seattle. I’ve been in the food world for over 20 years—went to culinary school in San Francisco, worked in restaurants there and in Seattle, and spent years as a private chef before taking on the ultimate challenge: raising a family (aka wrangling tiny humans). Now that we’ve got as many kids as we can handle, I finally get to focus on my dream—baking treats that make people happy!
And the name Major? It’s not just because the cookies are that good. It’s also a shoutout to our yellow lab, who takes his job as crumb cleanup crew very seriously. 🐾🍪
